Budco Demonstrates Supplier Relationship Management

Press release from the issuing company

Local Partners Earn Quality Awards DETROIT, March 26 -- Supplier relationship management doesn't apply only to the software used to manage corporate procurement processes! Budco, the Highland Park-based marketing services company, hosted its second annual Business Partner workshop on Friday, March 22. The purpose was to strengthen relationships between the company and its Business Partners by educating suppliers of key products and services on Budco's business imperatives and encouraging ongoing dialogue. "Every organization has the challenge of keeping apprised of the changing marketplace and its complexities,'' said Director of Procurement John Lemke. "Our Business Partners help us do this.'' "By encouraging open, trusting relationships as well as a mutual understanding of each others' business, we are all in a better position to succeed.'' Three companies were recognized for their efforts with awards for Outstanding Product and Service for 2001: * Clark Graphics, Inc., Warren, MI, provider of high quality, multi-color printing services * Complete Communications of Michigan, Clinton Township, MI, structured cabling engineers providing all voice and data cabling technologies * U.S. Postal Service, Great Lakes Region, Detroit District, which supports lettershop and distribution operations The criteria for the honor included "Budco's Five Rights,'' the foundational metrics of Budco's internal quality efforts. Representatives of 20 companies were present including experts in printing, packaging, staffing, information technologies, and transportation services. Trends in marketing and distribution, Budco's areas of expertise, were also discussed: one-to-one relationship management, e-commerce, and electronic distribution. Budco helps organizations build customer relationships through dialogue business solutions. Founded in 1982, the company's vision is to be recognized as the leader in providing dialogue business solutions, measured by customer loyalty, the ability to attract outstanding, life-long employees, community recognition and financial growth.
