NPES Announces eBusiness Seminar to be Held in December

Press release from the issuing company

September 13, 2002 -- To help member companies learn about the fundamentals of e-business and how to create and use effective e-strategies, NPES will present a half-day seminar, "Making E-Business Work for You". The seminar will be held the afternoon of Wednesday, December 4, at the Marriott Metro Center in Washington, DC, followed by PRINT OUTLOOK on Thursday and Friday, December 5-6, at the same location. The program will explore "Buy-Side and Sell-Side" e-business solutions and present case studies of successful e-business operations in other manufacturing sectors. Gary Dolgins of State Street Consultants will present a primer on e-business, and Tom Orlowski, Vice President, Information Systems with the National Association of Manufacturers, will describe e-business in the aftermath of the dot.com collapse of dot.com and chair a panel on successful programs. NPES Vice President William K. Smythe will introduce a new NPES "buy-side" services program. "E-business strategies can help provide more effective communication with customers, better customer service and streamlined operations," said NPES President Regis J. Delmontagne. "A recent survey of the membership indicated strong interest in learning more about e-business, and this seminar is the Association's way of meeting that interest and helping member companies to improve the way they operate. We've scheduled it to allow members to take advantage of two important programs with minimum time out of the office." For members who register for PRINT OUTLOOK, the seminar registration fee is $49. The fee for the E-Business seminar alone is $99. Full conference details and an interactive registration form is available in the Conferences section of this site, or contact the Member Services Department at 703/264-7200 or e-mail [email protected].
