“Cheetah, Inc.” a Group Company of Kitamura Holdings Co., Ltd. Releases SARAH.AI - An Automatic Photobook App Developed by photobook.Ai

Press release from the issuing company

SARAH.AI finds stories and curate photos to make photobooks automatically. Each user gets a free 24-page book each month.

Tokyo and Singapore – photobook.ai, the developer of artificial intelligence storytelling apps and a leader in edge-computing visual intelligence technologies, has released their first white-label app for the Japanese pocket photobook consumer market.

Sarah.ai, from Cheetah, automatically analyzes photos taken on mobile phones to create stories. It does this by curating the photoset using state-of-the-art machine-learning computer vision algorithms to remove duplicates, to find the best photos, and to discard the bad ones. The app then creates a 24-page 14x14cm square photobook. Users can edit their photobooks by adding/removing photos and write titles and captions on every page. They can also change the sequence and the colors of pages, delete and add pages (to a maximum of 96 pages). Find out more here: http://sarah-book.jp/pages/ai

Sarah.ai intelligently detects faces so they will not get cropped when multiple photos are laid out on a page. Users are also able to change the crop and focus of each photo if they wish. To cater to the Japanese consumer who likes to take photos of latte art and colorful food items, the AI engine automatically creates food collage pages. The entire bookmaking experience works natively on the mobile phone and does not require an internet connection until users are ready to order the book, so users can edit their photobooks as soon as they get on the plane right after a trip.

"We are very excited to work with Cheetah inc, to use our AI and visual intelligence expertise to enhance the photobook-making experience on mobile,” says Terence Swee, Founder and CEO of photobook.ai. “Many precious memories are captured each week on our phones and lost to archives in the cloud. Together with Cheetah, we are going to change that."

"Cheetah is always looking for the best technology to create affordable products to enable our users to preserve their memories with the highest print quality. We believe AI and mobile is the future of photobooks, and photobook.ai are the leading experts in mobile AI and computer vision who are also innovating quickly in this space. Smartphone cameras have achieved amazing printable quality and now have the processing power to use advanced computer vision technologies to help consumers manage, sort and organize their photos. " says Mr. Koji Nishihara CEO of Cheetah, inc.

Each month, all users are able to get a 24-page 14x14cm square book for free. Users can also add more pages for just 25yen per spread of two pages, up to a maximum of 96 pages.

Sarah.ai apps are now available for iOS in the iTunes AppStore and for Android in GooglePlay.
