IMDA In Mold Decoration Durable Part Award
Innovative In-Mold Decoration Earns Award from IMDA

The In-Mold Decorating Association (IMDA) chose Taylor Communications for its Best In-Mold Decorated Durable Part Award as part of the 2019 IMDA Awards competition. The award was presented at the annual IMDA Symposium dinner on June 3, 2019, in Franklin, Tenn. Tracy Nixon, Director of In-Mold Labels and Supplies, accepted the honor on behalf of Taylor Communications.

The award was given to Taylor Communications in recognition of our work for Heritage Manufacturing. Taylor used its expertise with in-mold technology to extend and diversify Heritage’s line of pistol grips. 3D formable inks and 5-axis CNC trimming technology enabled us to render woodgrain, metallic, pearlescent and other effects in molded plastic with startling realism. This innovative application of IMD technology has allowed Heritage to create an entirely new market for custom-designed pistol grips.

The IMDA will recognize all 2019 award winners at the PACK EXPO conference in Las Vegas this coming September. Taylor’s technological prowess will also be featured in the IMDA’s In-Mold Messenger newsletter, the October 2019 issue of Plastics Decorating magazine and other industry publications.
