A Visit to FESPA Seals the Deal for North Carolina Printer

Munich, Germany – AccuLink, the largest commercial printer and mail house in eastern North Carolina, will significantly increase their dye sublimation production after investing in the Panthera S4-1.8m, a revolutionary high-speed digital dye sublimation printing system, at the 2019 FESPA Global Print Expo in Munich.

Tom O’Brien, President of AccuLink, based in Greenville, NC, invested in the Panthera through their long-time distribution partner, Randy Peters, President and CEO of The Mosaica Group, based in Sussex, WI. The Panthera S4 is available in both 1.8m and 3.2m widths. Each S4 model has four Kyocera print heads that achieve speeds up to 4,000 square feet per hour. Panthera printing systems feature a specially-developed print head controller that offers better precision and printing quality, along with an anti-crash system on the carriage to protect the print heads from incorrectly hitting the transfer paper. The printer offers a flawless roll-to-roll feeding system that helps to eliminate paper waste. The Panthera is able to use low-weight paper (as low as 22 gsm) due to a highly-sophisticated tension control system.

Its latest features debuted at FESPA include the newly-developed Intelligent Camera System (ICS) using high-definition cameras. This technology will enable remote supervision and printing by using a distant remote control, i.e. computer, tablet or mobile phone. Also newly added is a “direct to flag” option that allows any user to switch back and forth from paper printing to printing direct to flag material without changing the ink set or adjusting the workflow settings.
