Madison Advisors Publishes Study on Enterprise Output Management Systems: Moving Beyond Print Management

Press release from the issuing company

Colleyville, Tex. – Madison Advisors today announced the availability of its new research report, “Enterprise Output Management Systems, 4th Edition: Moving Beyond Print Management.” Building on the previous edition of the Madison Advisors study published in 2010, the 2019 study explores the technology solutions available in the market today. The research indicates that numerous enhancements have been made in the areas of print transformation, workflow and multi-channel delivery. While the participants in this research believe that many clients are approaching transactional communications from a “digital-first” mindset, the research found that printed communications continue to be a critical and valuable component of multi-channel delivery.
The study’s key findings include:

· Why multi-site print operations need to have a single consolidated view into their production environment

· How enterprise in-plants interested in outsourcing print and mail to a service provider can determine whether to optimize their communications as a part of the transition to a new provider or simply do a “lift and shift” of the operation

· Profiles of 11 EOMS vendor solutions that offer sophisticated workflow and business process management capabilities, enabling organizations to receive print jobs, automate work to flow seamlessly through the production operation, and deliver through the channel of choice

“In our previous report ‘Enterprise Output Management Systems, 3rd Edition (December 2010),’ Madison Advisors identified workflow as an area of opportunity for enterprise output management,” said Kemal Carr, president of Madison Advisors. “This year, our research covers how technology providers in this already mature market are responding to the increased demand for digital delivery with capabilities that support both enhanced workflow and additional channels. Madison Advisors will continue to monitor and evaluate new capabilities and technology as they become available.”
