EFI and Legend To Promote Controller and Imaging Technologies in China

HONG KONG & FOSTER CITY, Calif.--July 16, 2002-- Electronics For Imaging today announced a cooperation with Legend Group Limited to promote advanced printing controller and imaging technologies for the fast growing Chinese market. Legend is a leading Chinese technology company offering enterprise and consumer products, and the number one provider of PCs in China. EFI is the world leader in software and hardware imaging solutions for network printing. The two companies will collaborate on a range of products using EFI's industry-leading imaging and controller technologies. The initial product is the LJ7500, a high speed, sub-$1,000 class printer for corporate workgroup environments. The LJ7500 leverages EFI's new Volcano controller architecture, a powerful low-cost platform designed for affordable, high-speed printers.
