Arcar Graphics Introduces Energy Curable Narrow Web Ink Systems

ANN ARBOR, MI (July 15, 2002) - Arcar Graphics, a division of Flint Ink Packaging North America, will showcase two new energy curable narrow web printing systems at Labelexpo Americas 2002, September 10 - 12, Rosemont Convention Center, Chicago, IL. New ARCURE Rotary Screen, a UV Rotary Screen Ink System, and ARCURE 860, a multi-purpose UV Letterpress Ink System, will be among the advanced narrow web ink systems introduced by Arcar Graphics in the Flint Ink booth, # 817. "Our new UV inks provide performance-enhancing benefits that enable converters to achieve greater efficiencies and grow new business," says Mike Harjung, V.P. and General Manager, Arcar Graphics. "ARCURE Rotary Screen and ARCURE 860 are easy to work with, maintain their stability at high press speeds, and deliver vibrant color and sharp images for labels with powerful point-of-purchase appeal." The two new label printing ink systems to be featured by Arcar Graphics are: New ARCURE Rotary Screen Ink System - Arcar's new UV Rotary Screen Ink System is a high opacity, silicone-free ink system that provides excellent through cure, eliminates trapping and offers quick leveling for high speed production. This versatile, high performance ink system, designed specifically for a "Stork" rotary screen head, prints on wide variety of top coated films. It is available in all Pantone colors, including light-fast and ultra light-fast colors. Applications include cosmetic and personal care labels. New ARCURE 860 UV Ink System - ARCURE 860 is a high-strength, fast-curing UV Letterpress Ink System that enables printers to reduce ink consumption and create high resolution printed images on paper, film, or foil labels. In addition, ARCURE 860's state-of-the-art resin and photoinitiator chemistry eliminates the need for any additives and allows for an "always press ready" ink system. Applications include pharmaceutical, personal care, and general consumer labels. Arcar Graphics was purchased by Flint Ink in 2000 and specializes in waterbase and energy curable ink systems.
