PIANKO Hires Vice President to Grow Membership, Awareness

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) -- September 4, 2002 -- The Printing Industries Association, Inc. Serving Northern Kentucky and Ohio (PIANKO) is proud to announce it has filled the position of vice president. David Carr was recently brought on board to head up the association’s efforts to grow membership (the No. 1 priority of PIANKO’s Board of Directors) and to serve and assist existing members. "This is the start of a new era," said Anita Herington, president of PIANKO. "PIANKO will have a full-time sales force to bring PIANKO’s products and services to the industry. His past success in the industry and his knowledge are extensive. That combined with his energy and enthusiasm will make him a great addition to the PIANKO team." Carr’s sales experience spans more than 20 years and his experience in the graphic communications and printing industry goes back 16 years ranging from pre-press to production and post-production. He will not only be working to grow the association’s membership, but also to serve its existing members with PIANKO’s wealth of products and services. "He will be involved in all aspects of the association," Herington said, "including raising awareness of the great work the association does for its membership." Carr currently lives in Lexington, OH with his wife Cynthia. They have five children, three girls and two boys. "I have a long history of business management and sales management which I will draw upon as I help PIANKO serve its members," Carr said. "We’re setting our sights squarely on the Board’s No. 1 priority of growing membership. I’ve had a long, prosperous relationship with PIANKO as a contributing member and now I’m looking forward to serving as a vital part of this exciting PIANKO team." Printing Industries Association, Inc. serving northern Kentucky and Ohio (PIANKO) serves more than 500 commercial printing companies and suppliers to the industry in its service area.
