DALIM ES offers creative departments a quick and easy collaborative system and production workflow that involves everyone in the creative process
DALIM SOFTWARE (www.dalim.com), makers of highly efficient, scalable software solutions for the creation, production and management of cross-media content, will be demonstrating DALIM ES on booth 505 at HOW Design Live, May 7-9 in Chicago. Each year, nearly 3,000 designers, marketers, and other creative professionals come to HOW Design Live to look for products and services that will help them solve design and marketing challenges, develop their skills, advance their careers and find inspiration to create amazing work. DALIM SOFTWARE will demonstrate how its collaborative, creative operations workflow solution, DALIM ES, can enable creative departments at agencies and brand owners to store, manage, organize—and produce—marketing and project content faster, with confidence.
Whether a newspaper advertisement, brochure, a series of labels or any other marketing material, managing a project consists of much more than just a single task. It’s about producing, managing, transforming and sharing digital content with the appropriate tools, the right people, at the right time—any time and anywhere. DALIM SOFTWARE has been providing automated production workflow solutions for more than twenty-five years.
DALIM ES is a collaborative workflow management and production platform, offering services ranging from online approval to web-based production tracking for all participants of the production cycle, including agencies, producers, and brand owners. “When putting together all the components of a promotional program, it’s not easy to collaborate between all of the ‘players’—particularly under very tight deadlines. Usually, trying to get reviews and consensus between the design/ad agency, clients, legal, and other departments is very labor-intensive,” explains Graham Blanks, DALIM SOFTWARE Director Business Operations North America. “A software solution that automates most of these tasks can better manage, track and collaborate campaign activities, and assure that deadlines are met, regardless of the final use of the output (print, web, video, audio and others).”
In particular, the web-based DALIM ES soft-proofing system allows creative partners to review, comment and approve artwork from a calibrated, color-accurate system. Tasks and approvals are automatically routed to the correct people.
Creative departments also need to be able to react nimbly. Important for most designers, those who wish to work with a streamlined Adobe Creative Cloud workflow can access content directly from DALIM ES with the Silicon Publishing ES Creative Cloud Connector. With it, users can drag and drop files from an in-app windows, creating links to ES assets from InDesign, or checking in and out Photoshop or Illustrator assets from ES, without leaving the Creative Cloud applications.
“And, while many similar systems boast similar tasks, there is one significant area where DALIM ES truly holds a tremendous advantage: its flexibility. DALIM ES is noted because it can be built to adapt to just about any creative environment. It can easily create review and approval cycles for each client,” adds Blanks. “There is no need to hire a consultant at an exorbitant cost to adapt DALIM ES to a different environment. The vast majority of DALIM ES users make workflow changes themselves. This allows them to easily and cost-effectively build different workflows for different groups or different projects.”
Accompanying collaboration is an audit trail along with key performance indicators (KPI) that allow retailers to fairly quickly discover bottlenecks in the creative operations process, and determine where errors might be occurring. KPI also helps show creative and marketing departments to track jobs and learn who used certain assets, and at what costs. “Once companies decide to work with DALIM ES, they typically find that expenses like labor, printing and courier costs shrink—as well as the time to produce and approve creative projects,” concludes Blanks. “We believe we offer a very unique solution that can help visitors to our booth at HOW Design Live produce marketing materials much more efficiently—leaving them to be more creative.”
