Canon Solutions America Celebrates Authors on World Book Day

Press release from the issuing company

As a leader in book production technology, Canon Solutions America is proud to support the written word. World Book Day is a perfect time to celebrate the many young authors the company has worked with over the years as part of its Future Authors Project. Now in its 14th year, the Future Authors Project is a program for young writers that launches students into the full creative process from writing, to editing, to digitally publishing books. Students learn and grow under the guidance of certified teachers, published authors, and Canon Solutions America experts. The program culminates in a beautiful book published utilizing digital technology from Canon Solutions America that is unveiled at a special book signing event.

Aditi Kher participated in the program in Palm Beach, Florida. In celebration of World Book Day, Canon Solutions America is proud to share her poem, “A Storm’s Symphony”, which was printed in a book entitled “Words of Art” in 2015.

“A Storm’s Symphony”

A vivacious crescendo;
The pelting rain keeps the tempo.
Gales of wind whirl
And notes caught in the swirl.

Electrifying currents pierce the sky and under.
An ominous bass of thunder;
A series of fainter echoes follow;
Leaving an open sky so hollow.

Cymbals crashing keep pulse of the storm,
Livid strings resonate with scorn,
Brass maintains a mellow tone,
And the piano has a tune of its own.

Music that rocks me on gentle a wave
Or rides where fierce storms rave.
Each pitch rings out with brilliant voice.
Magic that makes my heart rejoice.
