Leading Business Communications Company Chooses the Techkon PressLink Closed Loop Color Control System

Press release from the issuing company

Danvers, Mass. – TECHKON – the innovation leader in high-precision color measurement solutions for the global print and packaging communities – announces a PressLink Closed Loop Color Control System implementation with a leading business communications company (The Company) with locations across the United States. The company’s direct marketing and communications process and print management solutions are individually tailored for each client to maximize results internally and in their markets.

Driving the decision to implement a closed loop system was the desire to reduce make-ready time, increase efficiency, and improve overall quality. Because The Company had existing closed loop systems on other presses, they were well-versed in the short and long-term benefits. The new PressLink System was installed on a 2007 Heidlberg SM-102 8 Color Press with both ink presetting and closed loop. Prior to the implementation, the pressmen were presetting the ink keys manually, measuring with a handheld device, and making adjustments accordingly. “Without a closed loop color control system, companies are forced to rely on a vulnerable labor-intensive process to try to achieve efficiency and high color quality, states Devin Abramowitz, VP of Sales & Marketing at Techkon USA. The PressLink implementation takes away all of the guesswork and ensures improved color consistency, reduced waste, and noticeable cost savings.”

The implementation plan includes a phased approach to outfitting all of the offset presses being utilized by The Company. The team at Techkon is consultative in their approach to this kind of implementation and prides themselves on their ability to provide customized plans and an extremely high level of customer service.
