Laupheim – Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG bids farewell to Siegfried Drost, Managing Director Sales, on his retirement at the end of the business year 2018/2019. Michael Mrachacz, currently responsible for Uhlmann Customer Support & Services, succeeds him as of April 1, 2019.

Siegfried Drost started working for Uhlmann in 1994 – initially in charge of domestic sales, then as Managing Director Sales from 1997. During this time, the company – a provider of integral solutions for the packaging of pharmaceutical products – increased its order intake from EUR 45 million (1994) to approx. EUR 440 million in the Uhlmann Group (2018/2019). Siegfried Drost played a key role in this development and contributed significantly to the success of Uhlmann. Among other activities, the graduate industrial engineer extensively expanded Uhlmann’s international business by establishing numerous sales and services companies. Personally, he became a highly respected expert throughout the pharmaceutical packaging sector, and was one of the main driving forces behind the formation of the strategic alliance Excellence United with the companies Bausch + Ströbel, Fette Compacting, Glatt, and Harro Höfliger.

Michael Mrachacz succeeds Siegfried Drost as Managing Director Sales as of April 1, 2019. The fifty-year-old has been responsible for the Uhlmann division Customer Support & Services since 2014 and has been a member of the Group Executive Committee in this capacity for five years. Previous jobs included Technical Manager at Bütfering Schleiftechnik, and Director of Services and After-Sales for the Homag Group. Since working for Uhlmann, he has merged all the after-sales activities into one division, very successfully expanded Track & Trace business, and increased the turnover of the division by over 60 percent. “My goal is to further promote the successful growth of Uhlmann. That is only possible with a very high level of customer satisfaction, so I strongly advocate customer proximity as well as the strategic shaping of sales and services with a focus on the markets and customers”, states Michael Mrachacz. Tobias Uhlmann underlines: “The appointment of Michael Mrachacz means that we have been able to fill this key position from our own ranks, thus ensuring a seamless transition. We have found an excellent successor, whom I perceive as an enthusiastic, strong leader capable of getting things done, organizing, and motivating. We are very pleased about this continued cooperation and wish him a good start in his new role.”
