Digital Label Printer Specializes in Wine (April Fools 2019 Edition)

Press release from the issuing company

Napa, Calif. – Every day, five days a week, 10 cases of pinot noir from Verdant Vineyards are unloaded onto the dock at Lush Labels, a Napa, Calif.-based digital label printer. That’s when the clock starts.

“That truck is coming back at the end of the day, so we have our work cut out for us,” said Howard Livermore, principal of Lush Labels, which specializes in short-run digital label and packaging printing for the cosmetics industry.

“We have to empty those bottles by 5 p.m. so they can go back to the winery,” said Livermore, “and we only have 16 employees.” He has considered adding staff, but so far has deferred. “Our current staff seems more than happy with the workload. Verdant has considered increasing its output, but until they do we seem to have enough, er, capacity.”
