Press release from the issuing company

Chevy Chase, Md. – Over 300 technology leaders and nearly 50 exhibitors gathered March 19-20, 2019 in Redondo Beach, California at the RadTech BIG IDEAS for UV+EB Technology Conference to discuss and demonstrate responsible manufacturing, fabricating, and disinfection processes with ultraviolet energy (UV), UV LEDs and electron beams. These fast emerging technologies such as 3D printing/additive manufacturing and UV LEDs help eliminate harmful chemicals, polluting emissions, and waste, while enhancing efficiency. The event spotlighted advances in production-driven additive manufacturing in applications ranging from automotive parts to clothing design and fashion. Special presentations on “Big Ideas” for UV+EB included material development, food packaging, electronics, composites, and energy storage. In addition, sessions on horticulture and food safety explored the many uses of UV in our food supply chain including plant growth enhancement and disinfection.

RadTech is a non profit trade association dedicated to the advancement of UV+EB technology, with the event capped by awards presented to member volunteers—Michael Gould of Rahn, a RadTech Board member, honored with RadTech’s annual President’s award for outstanding leadership with the organization, while Doug DeLong of DDU was awarded for his efforts to educate regulators about the exciting use of UV+EB technology.

The next RadTech UV+EB Technology event is RadTech 2020 taking place March 9-11, 2020 at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida http://www.radtech2020.com
