The growing benefits of UV LED curing in flexo label printing are showcased by Integration Technology (ITL) at the Flexo & Labels show at Pro-Magno, São Paulo, Brazil this month (March 19th-21st 2019; Booth 05a).

Examples on display at the Flexo & Labels exhibition range from entry level air-cooled UV LED solutions for flexo, offset and screen, up to the new LEDcure SCR, specially-designed for retrofit onto rotary offset and flexo presses printing in excess of 200m/min.

Also featured is the IST MBS system with a 'hot swap' capability enabling any station to be changed from traditional UV arc to UV LED in minutes by simply changing over the lamp cassette, while retaining the same housing, cooling and control system for both technologies.

Live demonstration

A further attraction to Booth 05a; in conjunction with local partners, ITL will be delivering hourly live demonstrations of UV LED curing of both flexo and inkjet inks for label printing using a Rochaflex 4-colour press equipped with DeConto variable data inkjet printing.

The 160mm common impression machine will be fitted with ITL air-cooled LED technology comprising inter-colour curing after colours 1, 2 and 3, with a final cure after colour 4 and the digital station using the company’s proven VZR system.
