The Cannata Report Names Toshiba Copier Manufacturer of the Year

Press release from the issuing company

IRVINE, Calif., (August 20, 2002) – Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS) was recently awarded the prestigious "Copier Manufacturer of the Year" award, based on a survey of independent office product dealerships nationwide. Presented annually by the Marketing Research Consultants (MRC) of Glastonbury, Conn., publishers of the leading office equipment trade journal, The Cannata Report, the award is presented to the copier manufacturer voted "Best Vendor" by the nation’s office dealers. According to Frank Cannata, president, MRC, "This award is in recognition of the extra mile Toshiba goes in support of its office products dealers. Not only does the award recognize the breadth of their product line, but also acknowledges the outstanding marketing and technical support provided to their dealers." Rick Taylor, senior vice president, Sales, Marketing and Business Operations, TABS, accepted the award at Toshiba’s annual National Dealer Meeting in May. "It is an honor for Toshiba to receive such a prestigious award," said Taylor. "This recognition validates our efforts to provide superior training and dealer services such as our award-winning Intranet Web site, FYI Portal, which enables dealers to access training materials 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We look forward to continuing our wonderful relationship with the 300 dealers who sell our products throughout the United States. "With our newest e-STUDIO line of multifunction office equipment, Toshiba has raised the bar for technologically advanced office products," said Taylor. "The new e-STUDIO models, which range from 16-pages-per-minute to 81-pages-per-minute, offer sophisticated document processing with superior image quality, network printing and fax capabilities, as well as advanced finishing functions like sorting, stapling and booklet making." An Electronic For Imaging’s (EFI) Fiery“ embedded controller provides network printing with an option to upgrade scan capability functions; while the Toshiba embedded controller incorporates scanning as a standard feature and supports the 802.11B wireless standard. "We look forward to continuing to provide excellent service and support to the independent office equipment dealer and we remain dedicated to developing new technology and innovations within our product lines," said Taylor. Toshiba was also recognized this year at the Marketing Research Consultants’ 17th annual Dealer Awards Program in New York City.
