Advantage LLC of Anaheim, California has upgraded its digital printing capabilities with the installation of an HP PageWide Web Press T240 HD, streamlining production with one-pass printing of high-quality color and data.

The first to install the new HP inkjet technology in California, Advantage’s HP PageWide Web Press T240 HD delivers image quality for demanding color applications in publishing, direct mail, and commercial print.

“With the new HP press, Advantage commercial print production is moving to a new level where it can drive business growth in multichannel communications, branding, direct mail and creative services business,” said Tom Ling, founder and president of Advantage. “The new HD production press will enable high-quality, dynamic digital marketing pieces and sophisticated campaigns.”

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the new HP T240 HD complements the Advantage fleet of digital and offset production presses. In March 2017, Advantage upgraded its digital sheetfed production with a 29 inch HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press, also the first in California.

Advantage is using the new T240 HD press to produce high quality color with variable data in one process, improving economics of producing key applications including high-quality personalized manuals and collateral, short-run catalogues, books, and direct mail.

“Before the quality enhancements now available on the PW T240, we had to run everything on offset then overprint on less productive cut sheet devices,” Ling noted.

The T240 HD advanced High Definition Nozzle Architecture (HDNA) technology delivers outstanding image quality using native print resolution up to 2400 nozzles per inch (npi) duty cycle with a production capacity of up to 62 million letter-size color pages per month.

Additionally, Ling said he chose the HP solution since it can be upgraded with future enhancements for many years in the future.

Established in 1994 in Orange County, CA, Advantage added a second location in Salt Lake City, UT, employing more than 300 staff.
