Linemark is Making Money with the Addition of a Kluge EHD

Press release from the issuing company

St. Croix Falls, Wis. – Dynamic, award-winning communications provider, Linemark, has greatly increased their value with the installation of a Kluge EHD Automatic Platen Press for Foil Stamping, Embossing, and Die-Cutting. The remanufactured press has been updated with Kluge's patented TRU-DWELL™ adjustable dwell system and TRU-TEMP™ dual surface heat control. Often called "the workhorse of the industry", the legendary Kluge EHD features speeds up to 3,300 impressions per hour and accommodates sheets up to 17"x24.75" (431mm x 628mm). Kluge's TRU-DWELL technology allows stop/dwell of the press at any position in the press operating cycle, most used at "dead-center" impression. Adjustable up to 3 full seconds of dwell time, it significantly expands the number of substrates that can be processed and has increased capability to run dies that have high tonnage ratings.

Linemark, who opened its doors in 1985 and works out of a 90,000 square foot facility along the Washington D.C. - Baltimore corridor, offers industry-leading digital, offset and large format printing facilities together with data management, mailing, fulfillment, and custom book manufacturing. They will be using their Kluge EHD to Die Cut Plastic Cards, Foil Stamp and Emboss Book Covers, Greeting Cards, and Stationary.

They chose a Kluge because of its versatility and the excellent quality, productivity, and durability it supplies. For example, the TRU-DWELL and TRU-TEMP features have allowed them to cut plastic and have faster make-readies on all jobs. This allows them to offer quicker turnarounds and more flexibility to their customers. As a result, they were able to produce profitable work on their machine immediately after installation.

Steve Bearden, President at Linemark said, "Kluge offers a superior product for its market and "KC" [Kluge's product design and technical support manager] did an excellent job training our operators and getting Linemark ready for profitable production. We're making money with our Kluge."
