Press release from the issuing company

Global President Minoru Usui to be plenary session speaker

Tokyo, Japan – Seiko Epson Corporation will participate in Sustainable Brands 2019 Tokyo ("SB'19 Tokyo"), an international conference that is to be held at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba Hotel on March 6 and 7. Epson President Minoru Usui will be a plenary session speaker.

SB'19 Tokyo will be Epson's first time participating in a Sustainable Brands conference. These conferences, held in 13 cities and 12 nations in the 2018 fiscal year, provide participants with an opportunity to highlight their sustainability efforts so as to build corporate recognition and promote engagement. Epson seeks to showcase its sustainability efforts, to promote awareness of its strategic direction and the value it offers, and to build relationships within the SB community.

Epson will be represented by three speakers. Mr. Usui will speak at a plenary session on the subject of achieving sustainability by pursuing Epson's Management Philosophy. Meanwhile, Kazuhiro Ichikawa, Seiko Epson executive officer and deputy general administrative manager of the Technology Development Division, and Henning Ohlsson, Epson Deutschland GmbH Country Manager & CSR Director EMEAR, will take the stage in breakout sessions.

Epson's stated goal is to be an indispensable company, one that is committed to openness, customer satisfaction and sustainability. We tackle customer needs, address societal challenges, and create unique environmental value through our business activities with the aim of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and creating a better and more sustainable future.
