Thursday, August 01, 2002

Press release from the issuing company

New Substrate Provides Flawless Print Results and Added Stability to Graphic Design Applications CHESAPEAKE, VA (July 31, 2002) - Yupo Corporation, a leading manufacturer of synthetic paper technology, launched its new 104 lb. translucent text for design professionals requiring a sturdy substrate with a distinctive edge. The super-smooth synthetic is tear and water-resistant and an ideal grade for a variety of creative applications, including advertising inserts, direct mail pieces, annual reports, point-of-purchase displays, and brochures. "The introduction of the 104 lb. text extends our offering of translucent grades and presents graphic communication professionals with a broader spectrum of creative possibilities," says Paul Mitcham, national marketing manager at Yupo. "The new text provides greater dimension while maintaining the translucent appeal of our thinner grades." The 104 lb. translucent is a dependably sturdy substrate that resists cracking on folded applications like brochures and book covers for an enduring high quality image. Scratch and scuff-resistant, the cover withstands rigors of consumer handling for applications like playing cards, hang tags, and envelopes. The new 104 lb. text offers the same excellent design and print attributes on lithographic, flexographic and gravure processes as the entire YUPO product line, and handles converting and finishing options such as die-cutting, embossing, and foil stamping with ease. All grades of YUPO synthetic paper are 100% recyclable, waterproof and tear resistant. YUPO synthetic paper is manufactured by Yupo Corporation America, the largest manufacturer of synthetic paper in the Western Hemisphere. Yupo Corporation America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yupo Corporation, Tokyo, Japan.
