Pitney Bowes and Group 1 Provide Composition Software For Mail House

Press release from the issuing company

DANBURY, Conn. and LANHAM, Md., July 8 - Pitney Bowes Inc. and Group 1 Software today announce that Olympic Data Services, Inc. has purchased the DOC1 software solution. With this document composition software, Olympic data will create more effective and efficient personalized statements, bills and invoices for their financial services and telecommunications customers. Olympic Data produces and mails approximately 2 million documents per month. Created by Group 1 and co-marketed by Pitney Bowes docSense, DOC1 gives businesses control of their documents from content design, generation and presentment to archive, retrieval and payment. This marks the first sale of DOC1 by Pitney Bowes docSense since Pitney Bowes and Group 1 announced a global strategic alliance in March 2002. Olympic Data is a print and mail house that specializes in data processing, graphic design, digital laser printing, and mailing services for credit unions, banks, telecommunications, hospitals, and medical clinics. The principals of the Seattle, Washington-based service bureau needed a flexible document generation software solution in order to meet the increased demand for highly customized documents. "We obtained Group 1's DOC1 software from Pitney Bowes docSense to develop high quality documents that have the customized look and feel desired by our customers," said James Choi, President and CEO of Olympic Data Services. "We trusted the Pitney Bowes docSense brand to provide us with a cost-effective way to handle large volumes of documents. Our research indicates that the DOC1 solution will create highly personalized customer communications in less than half the time it took with our previous document composition software." "Companies like Olympic Data see value in using a composition tool like DOC1 that can help determine the strategy of a document while providing a completely integrated print-to-post document workflow environment," said Karl Schumacher, president of Pitney Bowes docSense. "It is a clear validation of our choice to enter a strategic alliance with Group 1, a relationship that I believe will prove to be enormously beneficial to our customers and our organization as time goes on." "By using DOC1, Olympic Data will be able to generate personalized, high impact communications with customers and prospects, the sought-after end result of all CRM initiatives," said Bob Bowen, CEO of Group 1 Software. "We look forward to working closely with Pitney Bowes docSense to meet the document generation and delivery needs of today's leading global businesses."
