EFI Announces Powerful New Fiery Server for Xerox DocuColor 6060

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--July 8, 2002--Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in software and hardware imaging solutions for network printing, announced today the availability of the EXP6000 Fiery color server, EFI's most powerful server to date. This new server brings breakthrough RIPping power and speed to the Xerox DocuColor 6060 digital color press and is designed for the graphic arts professional and high-end production printing environments. The EXP6000 is based on EFI's new Fiery Q4000 platform which is designed for the high-end printing market with extensive variable data printing (VDP) support, Graphic Arts support, Intelligent Printer Data Streams (IPDS) support for transactional printing, and advanced production automation and workflow management features. The Q4000 represents a breakthrough in Fiery server technology that delivers a new level of performance for the most complex documents, seamlessly integrates into existing workflows and exceeds all current expectations for digital color printing. This new server stands at the forefront of the next generation of digital color servers. Availability: The EXP6000 will be available starting July 15 through the Xerox direct sales force, agents and concessionaires.
