KIRKLAND, Wash., July 30 -- ImageX, Inc. the leading provider of online solutions for distributing, managing and producing sales and marketing materials, today announced that it has granted printChannel.com, Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide license on three ImageX patents. The ImageX patent portfolio covers technology for automating the print procurement and production processes.
printChannel.com is obtaining rights under ImageX's three patents for use in its automated print products and services. The license provides for a royalty arrangement, the details of which are to remain confidential.
"We are pleased that we were able to work out an arrangement that is mutually beneficial to printChannel.com and ImageX, and to our respective customers," says Oliver Pflug, CEO of printChannel.com. "This agreement paves the way for printChannel.com's product development over the next several years, while protecting the investment our customers have made in our solution. Other suppliers will have to follow our lead. We can now focus our attention entirely on taking care of our print partners and on reaching profitability for the company."
"This second license agreement further affirms the strength of our growing patent portfolio and the uniqueness of our technology," said Rich Begert, president and CEO. "We believe there are many more opportunities like this ahead."
