Standard Register Appoints VP of Sales for Document Management

DAYTON, Ohio--July 29, 2002--Standard Register announces its appointment of Charles P. Simmons as vice president of sales for its Document Management strategic business unit. Reporting to Mark Little, president of Document Management, Simmons will lead the business's 600 field sales professionals and its sales leadership team. Prior to joining Standard Register, Simmons was senior vice president of sales at divine, inc., a leader in extended enterprise technology solutions. Earlier he was vice president of sales, marketing and business development at FiNetrics, a provider of SAP enterprise resource planning solutions delivering critical financial software applications to the emerging and mid-sized business market. His other roles include serving as the vice president of major accounts at Dun & Bradstreet, responsible for nationwide sales of Dun & Bradstreet's information services product line to Fortune 1000 companies. Simmons holds a bachelor's degree in economics and speech communications from Boston College. "Charlie's expertise includes transforming a commodity information company into a value-added solution provider," Little said. "His technology solution background as well as his experience in leading successful national sales teams will be extremely valuable in helping to accelerate Standard Register's growth.
