- Innovative Product Integrates Coating Blanket Cutting Into Prepress Workflow -
Manchester, CT, July 26, 2002 -- Gerber Innovations has been awarded the prestigious 2002 GATF InterTech Technology Award the fourth time Gerber has been so honored by GATF for product innovation in the graphic arts. The 2002 award was granted to the Gerber Sector, an automatic coating blanket cutter which offers an entirely new approach to producing coating blankets.
Commenting on the recent GATF award, Gerber Innovations director of marketing Michael D. Holbrook said: “Gerber Innovations is proud to have received the 2002 GATF InterTech Technology Award. The Gerber Sector, which was honored, is an entirely new concept, making coating blanket preparation an integral part of prepress workflow. Coating blankets produced on the Gerber Sector provide coating accuracy exceeding that with hand-cut blankets, and ensure proper registration with printed images. Perhaps most important, the Gerber Sector provides a speedy and verifiable return on investment.”
The Gerber Sector was introduced at PRINT 01, where it was designated a MustSee’Em product before the exhibition one of only five individual products so honored.
