Empack Returns to the NEC with the Latest in Packaging Technology

Press release from the issuing company

The UK’s premier event for packaging technology, equipment and machinery, Empack 2019, is returning to Birmingham’s NEC on 27 & 28 February 2019. The two-day event will focus on the future of packaging technology, with suppliers showcasing the most advanced capabilities and newest innovations to the UK market.

Hosted alongside Packaging Innovations, Label&Print, and, new for 2019, Industrial Pack, Empack offers visitors the unrivalled opportunity to discover the latest developments and solutions for upgrading machinery and improving capacity, reliability and efficiency.

As always, innovation will be the show’s main focus, playing host to a number of new technologies and solutions. For instance, Automated Packaging Systems will be using the show to launch several bagging and labelling products. Its new bagging machine, the Autobag® 600 series, includes all the features of the current Autobag® 500, but now offers an improved maximum bag width of 400mm. The new AutoLabel™ 500 and AutoLabel™ 600 Thermal Transfer Printers will be on show offering high-speed and high-resolution printing on labels up to 100mm wide and 500mm long, directly onto the bag. Finally, the new AutoLabel™ Designer 18, a user-friendly label design and printing software that is Windows 10 compatible, will also be introduced to the range.

Herma UK will be exhibiting its range of labelling systems, including the 652C Compact Top and Base labelling system which delivers high-quality, precise and economic compact labelling. Its specially equipped top and bottom mounted applicators allow the labelling of both ends of packaging at the same time, making it an ideal solution for food and pharmaceutical products.

Other leading names already signed up to Empack 2019 include; KTEC Group, Protega Global, Emerson, Fernite, Industrial Labelling Systems, Enercon Industries Ltd, Martek Industries, Tawi UK, Liberty Packaging Systems, KBW Packaging, Palpack, Advanced Labelling Systems, Powder and Packaging Machines, Yorkshire Packaging Systems, Audion Elektro, Durham Duplex, Advanced Dynamics, Excel Packaging Machinery, Norpack, and HSM UK.

James Drake-Brockman, Divisional Director of Easyfairs’ Packaging Portfolio, comments: “The show champions the latest advances in packaging technology and each year more and more companies are choosing to launch new products at the show, which is fantastic. In addition to this innovation, we have also seen a huge increase in the number of brands, converters and retailers attending, especially as we continue to grow our Empack offering. This means that there will be plenty of opportunity for networking and deals to be done live on the show floor.”
