Monaco's Color Management Application Included with EPSON's Tabloid Scanner

Press release from the issuing company

ANDOVER--Monaco Systems, the leader in digital color solutions, today announced a bundle agreement with EPSON America that will bring MonacoEZcolor to owners of the new Epson Expression 1640 XL large-format scanner. MonacoEZcolor is an award-winning color management application that builds custom monitor, scanner and printer profiles. The profiles allow users to obtain accurate and consistent color throughout their workflow, saving the time, frustration and resources of additional prints. ``We're excited to offer MonacoEZcolor with the EPSON Expression XL scanner,'' said George Adam, President, Monaco Systems. ``This agreement reaffirms EPSON's dedication to providing customers with the highest-quality color output possible.'' This is the most recent of several agreements between Monaco and EPSON that has either included MonacoEZcolor with an EPSON product or made the program available to EPSON customers at a discounted price. Most recently, EPSON included an offer with the critically-acclaimed STYLUS PHOTO 1270 that allowed customers to purchase MonacoEZcolor at 50% off. MonacoEZcolor is included with every Expression 1600 Artist, Professional and Professional Firewire model scanner. ``MonacoEZcolor is custom tailored to the needs and resources of the creative professional,'' said Stephen Rankin, Product Manager, Monaco Systems. ``Our relationship with EPSON provides an efficient an effective way of reaching thousands of people while providing a high-quality solution for the customer.'' MonacoEZcolor has also remained popular with critics since its release. The program claimed a ``Hot Pick'' from Seybold Seminars Boston/Publishing 1999. MonacoEZcolor was later reviewed by Macworld (US) and Publish magazine, receiving ``4 Mice'' and ``4 Stars'' respectively. MonacoEZcolor finished out 1999 by claiming an Editor's Choice award from PC Photo magazine. The program recently received a ``4 Star'' rating from Macworld UK and looks to build upon its current success in the future. Pricing and Availability of MonacoEZcolor MonacoEZcolor is currently available on Macintosh and Windows platforms from select resellers and directly from Monaco Systems. The product is available for $299 and with the MonacoSENSOR colorimeter (available with ADB, serial and USB connections) for an additional $199 (regularly $249) if purchased at the same time as the software. MonacoEZcolor can create a monitor profile without the use of the colorimeter, but the MonacoSENSOR provides a non-subjective and more accurate means of profiling a monitor. Prospective users can download a MonacoEZcolor demo or purchase the program directly at www.monacosys.com.
