New Capability Provides Substantial Display & Accuracy
Improvements for Specialized Thermometers

Dayton, Ohio — American Thermal Instruments LLC (ATI) has completed the acquisition of Microtemp Labs LLC of Naples, Fla. The exceptional technology and expertise of Microtemp will provide ATI with the scalable means to print customized liquid crystal units in-house and in one-pass, expanding ATI’s considerable product line for the consumer goods and medical markets.

Liquid crystal technology is a key component of virtually all precision temperature-reading devices worldwide and - - combined with precise accuracy - - form the foundation for ATI’s lengthy history of advanced instruments that are in high demand throughout the pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics industries. The ATI product line will expand to include Microtemp’s FDA-approved forehead temperature monitoring devices wherein the “temperature line” moves in real-time and displays a vivid color which designates the core body temperature of the user. Additionally, the Microtemp technology provides ATI with an oral and axillary product, expanding their product line for consumer-based solutions. Microtemp’s oral thermometer has a ± 0.1° C accuracy point, providing an effective solution for extremely critical temperatures.
