AF&PA Commends House for Passing GOOD Act; Urges Senate to Swiftly Approve Regulatory Transparency, Accountability Measure

Press release from the issuing company

Washington – American Forest & Paper Association President and CEO Donna Harman commended the House for passing the Guidance Out of Darkness (Good) Act (H.R. 4809) and urged the Senate to quickly pass the companion measure (S. 2296) to provide more transparency and accountability in the regulatory process.

“We applaud the House for passing legislation that requires federal agencies to post regulatory documents online in one, easily-accessible centralized website. That’s common sense, and we urge the Senate to follow suit and approve this overdue requirement of the OMB Bulletin that the agencies have failed to comply with. Providing transparency and accountability in the regulatory process is a win-win for the nation, plain and simple.”
