HP Introduces Wide Tabletop Print Engine for Direct-to-Package Printing

Nuremberg, Germany – HP Inc. announced at FachPack a new wide tabletop print engine for OEMs to design on-demand specialty packaging solutions. The HP OEM Fixed Imager 1000 by HP Specialty Printing Systems (SPS) enables convenient in-plant or print service provider printing on a wide range of applications including gift and shopping bags, personalized gift boxes, shipping packaging, cartons, and envelopes.

The highly versatile HP F1-1000 print engine introduces a 297.18 mm (11.7 inch) wide print swath, offering a large image area for color printing on variable lengths of media.
“This wider print engine can deliver more elaborate on-demand color packaging and commercial printing applications for short-run, personalized direct to package printing. Easy integration into OEM printing systems
The SPS HP F1-1000 print engine can be easily integrated into OEM printing systems and configured to specific applications. Built on HP Thermal Inkjet Technology with thousands of nozzles for high-quality printing at high speeds, the HP FI-1000 also offers:

  • A range of assemblies and reference designs for building an A3 (297.18 mm / 11.7 in) color inkjet solution
  • Easy integration onto any flat media path
  • Durable HP inks offering fade, scratch, and water resistance.
  • Four-color ink system producing long-lasting, brilliant colors
  • Speeds up to 18 inches per second depending on desired print quality

At FachPack at the HP stand, the new wide-swath HP 22mm Printhead announced at Sinopack made its first live printing demonstration. It prints stitch-free product identification and marking applications for secondary packaging, including pharmaceutical labels and cartons, secondary box label replacement, as well as variable data printing
