Macromedia and AvantGo Partner to Drive Content to Mobil Devices

(NASDAQ: AVGO) today announced a strategic relationship that will enable Macromedia Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver UltraDev developers to deliver Web content to mobile devices using AvantGo's mobile infrastructure software and services. AvantGo is developing an extension to Macromedia Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver UltraDev to enable developers to easily build AvantGo channels for Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and Internet-enabled phones. The AvantGo Extensions for Macromedia Dreamweaver are expected to ship in January, and will be available on the Macromedia Exchange for Dreamweaver at http://exchange.macromedia.com/. Because Macromedia UltraDev is built on the core architecture of Dreamweaver, any extensions written for Dreamweaver will also extend the functionality of UltraDev.
