Paperfly and Ikon Partner to Reduce Gap Between Paper and Electronic Information

Press release from the issuing company

SUNNYVALE, Calif., PaperFly Corporation (www.paperfly.com), a Web-based information management solutions company, today announced it has entered into a relationship with IKON Office Solutions (NYSE: IKN), the industry leader in digital conversion services, to help companies affordably transfer large volumes of paper documents to PaperFly's online system. Through this collaboration, PaperFly and IKON have streamlined the digital conversion process, thereby significantly reducing conversion costs and, for the first time, making the conversion service affordable for projects of almost any size. "Businesses have a wealth of valuable information buried in filing cabinets that often cannot be conveniently accessed or easily shared across the organization," said Ajay Narain, PaperFly's CEO. "Until now, the cost of transferring paper documents to digital images has been burdensome for all but the largest projects. Partnering with IKON allows us to help our customers bridge the gap between paper and electronic documents by affordably transferring their paper documents into an online information management system." Under the terms of the agreement, PaperFly sales representatives will now offer IKON's digital conversion services to customers who traditionally could not afford digital conversion. IKON will prepare, scan and index the customer's documents and transmit the electronic document images to PaperFly. Once in the PaperFly system, customers can search for, retrieve, view, manage, collaborate on and deliver their documents, all from PaperFly's secure and private website. "By teaming with PaperFly, we are able to expand our offerings to companies by providing an affordable solution for information management via the Web," said Barb Pellow, Senior Vice President Marketing, IKON Office Solutions. "The Application Service Provider (ASP) model allows us to provide our customers with the expertise and resources they may not be able to afford to build internally, thus helping them communicate business information more effectively." The IKON partnership represents one of many business alliances that enhances PaperFly's offerings. PaperFly leverages best-in-class partnerships to provide customers with superior information management solutions that are highly scalable, secure and easy-to-manage. PaperFly is a pioneering Application Service Provider (ASP) providing best-in-class technology for managing business information at the department level and across the enterprise. PaperFly's unique capabilities will allow corporations to manage, distribute and route information stored as active documents, contracts, records and electronic files. PaperFly's secure and scalable ASP platform allows enterprises to rapidly deploy business information management solutions that are easy to maintain without increasing investment in IT or training. PaperFly is based in Sunnyvale, California.
