Miller’s Professional Imaging Adds Second Canon DreamLabo to their Fleet of Printers

Press release from the issuing company

Melville, N.Y. – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has announced that Miller’s Professional Imaging has added a second Canon DreamLabo 5000 inkjet production photo printer to their print shop to provide its high-quality capabilities to its Mpix Brand Products. With the DreamLabo, Mpix customers can now create Premium Panoramic Photo Books in luster and glossy paper surfaces.

“The superb quality of photographs printed on the Canon’s DreamLabo 5000 has given consumers new ways to preserve their most cherished memories with vivid clarity and detail, whether in a standalone image or a picture book,” said Shinichi Yoshida, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “Since the introduction of this innovative device, photo professionals such as Mpix have been able to take advantage of its leading edge technology to expand the possibilities of what they can offer to their customers, helping diversify their portfolio and add to their organization’s bottom line.”

Mpix is a subsidiary of Miller’s Professional Imaging, based out of Pittsburg, Kansas, which had already added one DreamLabo device to its fleet in 2017. Impressed by the efficiency, clarity and high-quality of the DreamLabo, Miller’s decided that the device was a perfect fit for Mpix’s photo books and added a second DreamLabo to their operation.

“Quality and speed are two of our company’s hallmarks and have helped set Miller’s and Mpix apart from our competitors. We are continually looking for ways to improve in those two areas, and the DreamLabo 5000 printer is helping to do just that,” said Paul Rotter, marketing coordinator for Miller’s Professional Imaging.

Canon's DreamLabo 5000 is a seven-color inkjet photographic printer that features a wide color gamut, smooth gradations, vibrant and accurate color reproduction to help deliver optimal performance and productivity to retail photo printing and high-end print-on-demand (POD) markets. Its integration of FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print-head technology provides outstanding photo and text quality. The printer also offers an alternative to traditional silver halide processing technology, coupling its strengths with the advantages of inkjet printing. With automatic double-sided printing, the DreamLabo 5000 Printer lends itself well to printing photo albums and on-demand two-sided documents.
