CreoScitex Now Shipping PDF Seps2Comp 1.5

Press release from the issuing company

BEDFORD, MA -- CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSE: CRE), is pleased to announce the release of PDF Seps2Comp 1.5, the latest version of the powerful Acrobat(R) page composition utility that enables prepress professionals to transform color-separated PDF files into composite documents. PDF Seps2Comp 1.5 plug-in for Adobe Acrobat transforms a color-separated PDF file output from page layout applications such as Adobe PageMaker(R) and QuarkXPress(R) into a composite, live document that can be later edited and manipulated in the same manner as any other PDF file. This utility provides the last link in a truly composite workflow by converting pre-separated files back into full color documents. Included in Version 1.5 is a preview for the inspection of overprints prior to merging the pre-separated files into a composite document. Users can turn color plates on and off, zoom in and inspect trapping. The utility also loads and saves custom inks, offers full access to the PANTONE(R) color libraries, and supports object conversion to allow for either PostScript(R) Level 2 or 3 output devices. PDF Seps2Comp 1.5 is also available with the S2C Plateview option, a modified version of the separation viewer plug-in from Prinergy(tm) Version 2.0 workflow management system from CreoScitex. Plateview is used to examine the merged composite file, ensure file integrity and provide a complete workflow for merging separated files into composite documents. PDF Seps2Comp 1.5 was the recipient of a Seybold Editors' Hot Pick in August in San Francisco. More product and demo information, including a variety of purchasing options is available on-line at http://www.creoscitex.com.
