Heidelberg's Print Media Academy Wins Excellence in Award from EDSF

Kennesaw, Georgia - The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF) has presented Heidelberg America's Print Media Academy with the 2000 Excellence in Education Award for "Innovation in Professional Growth and Development." The award is one of four top prizes bestowed annually by EDSF for advancements "in education in the document communications industry." Heidelberg America's Print Media Academy (PMA) is the North American division of a worldwide PMA effort by the company, which ranges from classroom and hands-on training of technicians and system operators to an MBA program in print business management. "The Heidelberg Print Media Academy represents Heidelberg's commitment to training and education in the graphic arts industry throughout North America," EDSF stated in presenting the award. "Course offerings include the theory and operation of prepress, press and postpress products. Heidelberg develops, authors and updates all course content, curriculum and documentation used in the delivery of training to its customers." The award presented to Heidelberg was sponsored by Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies. Another Heidelberg division, Heidelberg Digital LLC, sponsored EDSF's Innovation in Online Education and Training prize. That award was won by Finland's Espoo Vantaa Institute of Technology (EVITech).
