Idealliance Latin America Certifies 24 G7® Experts During Training at Etirama in São Paulo, Brazil

Press release from the issuing company

Individuals from throughout Latin America certified in the G7 methodology for print supply chain optimization, process control, and color management.

Alexandria, Va. – Idealliance Latin America is proud to announce certification of 24 new G7® Experts following training in São Paulo, Brazil, at the new world-class training facility of Etirama, the award-winning flexo press manufacturer. Idealliance is a global thought leader in the graphic communications industry and a non-profit organization with 11 strategically located offices around the world.

Individuals from across the print supply chain, including global OEMs, suppliers, printers, consultants, and color experts from throughout Latin America gathered for three days of training in July to gain valuable experience through hands-on learning, live practical demonstrations of press and device calibration, and collaboration with fellow print supply chain partners to earn G7 Expert certification to support the global print supply chain.

Training was led by Steve Smiley, G7 Expert Trainer, with support from Etirama, which hosted the event, and Wikoff Color. Participants gained extensive experience in G7 implementation during live production scenarios to attain the skills necessary for implementing G7 in their facilities, on their devices, and with their print supply chain partners. These G7 Experts are now certified by Idealliance as well-versed, proven leaders in print production and global standards to align all proof and print applications regardless of process, ink, or substrate, and are committed to reducing costs, speeding product to market, and improving and maintaining their clients’ brand image and print production requirements.

“Idealliance and our global office in the region, Idealliance Latin America, is grateful for the extensive global support from Etirama and Wikoff Color that has helped us certify 24 new G7 Experts to support the print and packaging supply chain,” says Jordan Gorski, Idealliance Director of Global Certification Programs.

“These G7 Experts assist their print and packaging supply chain partners through their extensive knowledge of print production optimization, colorimetry, and technical expertise to align print buyers, suppliers, workflows, and the entire print supply chain network using global print standards, methodology, and the G7 specification for alignment of processes, devices, facilities, and workflows around the globe,” adds Gorski.

Idealliance is recognized by ISO as the largest certifying body in the graphic and visual communications industry. G7 certification is the most recognized international specification for color management, and not only achieves consistent color reproduction across any print medium or substrate, but also provides a tremendous savings to an operation’s bottom line. Utilizing G7 within a print production workflow improves output consistency across multiple print services, platforms, and distribution outlets.

Projeto Pack, serving as Idealliance Latin America, comprises an extraordinary group of industry experts aiding the Latin American market as colorimetric, metrology and operational consultants, and providing a tremendous knowledge resource in an incredibly growing market. It will be hosting additional G7 training events in the coming months to serve the entire continent. With deep relationships in the region, Idealliance Latin America experts continue to lead through support, training, technical events seminars, technical publications, and expertise in printing, packaging, and publishing.
