Mimaki Celebrates Grand Opening of Midwest Region Technology Center

Mimaki USA recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Midwest Region Technology Center in Franklin, Wisconsin near Milwaukee. The event, held on July 26, 2018, featured an official ribbon cutting and a traditional Japanese Kagami Biraki ceremony.

Led by Regional Manager Ross Esenberg, the Mimaki sales, support, and service teams welcome all to the new Midwest facility, which offers offer hands-on experience with the latest inkjet printing technologies. The 16,585-square-foot technology center is the site of solution demonstrations, dealer technician certification courses, open houses, and Microfactory events. A showroom is also available for visitors to view samples of the many types of applications possible using Mimaki’s printers and cutters.

The Mimaki USA team with Pete Weinberg of Midwest Sign & Screen Printing Supply Co. perform a traditional Kagami Biraki ceremony where the lid of the sake barrel was broken open with wooden mallets and the sake was served to everyone present.
