American Forest & Paper Association Releases June 2018 Boxboard Report

Washington, D.C. – The American Forest & Paper Association released its June 2018 U.S. Boxboard Report on July 17.

Total boxboard production increased 3.6 percent when compared to June 2017 and decreased 3.1 percent from last month. Unbleached Kraft Boxboard production increased over the same month a year ago but decreased compared to last month. Total Solid Bleached Boxboard & Liner production increased when compared to June 2017 but decreased compared to last month. At the close of the second quarter, all boxboard sectors—Unbleached Kraft Boxboard, Solid Bleached Boxboard & Liner and Recycled Boxboard—enjoyed a higher operating rate compared to last year.
