American Forest & Paper Association Releases June 2018 Containerboard Report

Washington, D.C. – The American Forest & Paper Association released its June 2018 U.S. Containerboard report on July 17.
Containerboard production was up 2.0 percent compared to June 2017 and up 1.0 percent year-to-date. The month-over-month average daily production compared to May 2018 was 1.2 percent higher. The containerboard operating rate was 96.8 percent, 0.2 percentage points higher than the same month last year. Production for export was 7.1 percent higher than June 2017, which had the lowest export production in 2017, and was 3.5 percent lower year-to-date.
