American Forest & Paper Association Releases June 2018 U.S. Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly Report

Washington, D.C. – The American Forest & Paper Association released its June 2018 U.S. Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report on July 17.

Total Packaging Papers shipments were up 4.4 percent compared to June 2017 and up 0.6 percent year-to-date. Bag & Sack shipments were essentially flat year-to-date, Multiwall shipments were down 1.3 percent, Converting shipments were up 0.7 percent and Food Wrapping shipments were up 3.6 percent. The operating rate for June increased to 95.8 percent from 94.5 percent in May. Inventories were down 0.3 percent since May.
