Gelato Launches in 30 New Countries

Press release from the issuing company

Gelato, the world’s most cost-efficient and environmentally-friendly print solution serving leading multinational enterprises around the world, has added 30 countries to its distribution network, increasing its global footprint to 101 countries.

“Gelato can now deliver printed materials to 101 countries, covering more than 6 billion people”, says Christian Sæterhaug, CMO at Gelato.

“We continue to expand our global footprint whilst maintaining all of the benefits of local printing relationships. Our global network, which is unparalleled in the marketplace, helps us reduce delivery distances, provide more sustainable printing, ensure adherence to global marketing standards and drive cost transparency for our clients. The value proposition is incredibly compelling for organizations intent on cost containment and environmental responsibility”, adds Sæterhaug.

The 30 new delivery destinations will be served by hubs in locations such as Singapore, Shanghai, the US and Germany.

“We are happy to see Gelato expanding its services to this extent. Jotun has presence in many Asian and Middle East countries, and with Gelato serving these markets we can manage our brand over one single platform", says Per Olav Ramstad, VP Marketing at Jotun Performance Coatings.

Delivery services in the majority of new distribution locations are Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) by default, meaning Gelato automatically includes estimated customs fees in total shipping costs, effectively prepaying customs costs and preventing delays.

“This is a huge benefit to customers who in the past have found themselves responsible for the safe delivery of goods and experienced unpleasant surprises in terms of additional costs and complexities when those goods cross borders. Gelato makes the process as simple as possible”, says Sæterhaug.
