Sun Chemical to Showcase Packaging Solutions at EMPAQ 2018

San Salvador, El Salvador – Sun Chemical will exhibit its wide range of inks, adhesives and coatings for packaging solutions during EMPAQ 2018 at the Hotel Crowne Plaza in San Salvador, El Salvador on July 19-20.

Ink Systems for Enhanced Pressroom Productivity
Visitors of booth #25-26 will be introduced to Sun Chemical’s SunUno Solimax ink system. Suitable for surface print applications on a number of the commonly used flexible packaging substrates, this multi-purpose ink system maximizes press room efficiency while simplifying the overall print production process by providing a single platform that can cover multiple end use applications and produce the shelf stand out and high-quality packaging needed for today’s competitive industry.

Sun Chemical’s latest generation of high strength, poly lamination inks suitable for reverse printing of flexible films, SunStrato Duratort, SunStrato Duraflex and SunStrato Duraline, provide optimum performance on both rotogravure and flexographic presses and offer high speed, high quality, and low solvent retention performance required for maximum press efficiency.

Solaris® System Inks for Narrow Web Printing
Part of the Solaris® System of products, Sun Chemical’s SolarFilm™, SolarVIP™ and SolarCup™ water-based flexo inks meet the printing needs of narrow web and packaging printers. The SolarFilm™ range of inks allow for high quality narrow web flexo printing onto synthetic substrates and papers, features high color strength and print quality, and has high levels of adhesion and water resistance. SolarVIP ™ inks are suitable for printing onto thermal papers and other applications requiring high levels of heat and water resistance. SolarCup™ is suitable for narrow web printing on semi-porous substrates and on polyethylene with corona treatment of at least 40 DIN.

The SunLam family of lamination adhesives consists of water-based, solvent-free and solvent-based products designed to meet the needs of all major packaging applications, including retort lamination for food packages. Ink Solutions for Color Management and the Expanded Color Gamut Printing Process
Booth visitors will learn how they can lock in on brand color equity for their customers using Sun Chemical’s full line of expanded color gamut inks for a wide range of printing applications. Using the expanded color gamut printing process allows customers to set up a simple process for efficient printing with more press uptime and accurate and repeatable color.
