Former SEC Commissioner to Join printCafe Board of Directors

PITTSBURGH, PA - printCafeTM, the operating system for printTM, today announced that J. Carter Beese, Jr., President of Riggs Capital Partners and Vice Chairman of Riggs & Co., has been elected to the company's board of directors. printCafe is a leading provider of business-to-business e-commerce solutions for the printing and publishing industries. Beese is responsible for all aspects of Riggs Capital Partners' venture capital fund allocation. Previously, he was Vice Chairman of the Global Banking Group at Bankers Trust. Prior to the merger between Bankers Trust and Alex. Brown, Beese was a partner, officer, and then Chairman of Alex. Brown International. In addition to his current role at Riggs Capital Partners, Beese is currently a senior advisor to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank. In 1992, Beese became the 71st Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) upon nomination by President Bush and confirmation by the U.S. Senate. Prior to this nomination, President Bush appointed Beese Director of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in 1990.
