Dax Adds Value-Priced T1i Lite To Iseries Product Line

Press release from the issuing company

BOSTON -- Digital Art Exchange, Inc. (DAX), the first managed Internet and application service provider for the graphic communications industry, today announced the addition of the DAX T1i Lite to its iSeries managed Internet solutions. The new product addition targets growing companies that want to upgrade their Internet solution, as well as utilize the latest graphic communications-intensive applications over the Internet. The DAX T1i Lite is identical to the T1i in that it provides enterprise class, dedicated (up all the time) access to a Tier-1 backbone. Companies with a DAX T1i Lite solution can perform any size file transfers (at 768K bps for about 5MB/minute), host their own web site and provide email for their entire company. The product features set is identical to the DAX T1i solution (with the exception of speed), but at a lower flat monthly rate, regardless of the traffic volume. Targeted at Graphic Arts Companies: The DAX T1i Lite is specifically targeted at companies within the graphic communications industry who have not only seen an increase in the size and volume of email attachments and FTP transfers, but who have also witnessed a recent increase in demand from customers interested in eProduction technologies. The DAX T1i Lite addresses these issues, the key advantage of the solution being that it allows growing printers, prepress houses, advertising agencies, publishers and others within the industry to immediately increase their Internet horsepower to meet this demand. These companies can take advantage of the new eProduction applications, such as digital asset management, e-commerce, remote proofing, web hosting and FTP, at a lower cost with higher performance. These advantages, as well as the all-inclusive managed services, make the DAX T1i Lite a high-quality, value-added upgrade, especially when compared to a local Internet service provider (ISP). In addition, companies who are currently DSL subscribers, but have found that they need a more reliable, robust, enterprise-class service will also realize the many benefits of upgrading to a DAX T1i Lite solution. Value/Price: "Our team is always working to drive Internet applications for the industry, while bringing prices down for our customers," said Brad Giles, President of DAX. "For DAX, the essential parameters are performance, reliability and most importantly, value. An important part of that value, beyond pricing, is our ability to find the best fit for our products based on each customer's workflow needs." The DAX Ti Lite solution is at the high end of the managed Internet services in the DAX iSeries suite of solutions for the graphic communications industry. All-inclusive with the DAX T1i is an enterprise class, robust Cisco Systems router and built-in firewall, with a 768K T-1 DAX Internet connection to a Tier-1 backbone. The solution also comes standard with a 500MB managed FTP server (hosted in the DAX Data Center), virtual domain web hosting with 50MB of space at www.mycompany.com and 20 email addresses (housed on an email server in the DAX Data Center.) Availability: At a flat rate of $1,295 per month, with no per-megabyte or other usage-based charges, the DAX T1i Lite is priced in the mid-range of current top T-1 Internet service providers, but it also includes the value-added, industry-specific features only available from DAX. In addition, unlike most standard ISPs, DAX solutions and services include local loop charges right within the flat monthly fee, so there are never any multiple bills, never any hidden costs. Finally, as with all DAX solutions, the DAX T1i Lite is supported end-to-end by DAX LABS 24/7 technical support and services group.
