C.P. Bourg and Ultimate TechnoGraphics Provide Dynamic Finishing Workflow

Press release from the issuing company

Montreal, Canada, and Ottignies, Belgium – Ultimate TechnoGraphics and C.P. Bourg announce the joint collaboration in providing a fully dynamic finishing automation workflow for print service providers worldwide. Ultimate Impostrip® and Ultimate Bindery® to drive the C.P. Bourg BPM inline and nearline configurations available to dynamically produce books or booklets.

“When finishing equipment offers the mechanical flexibility to manage a dynamic paper transformation and finishing flow, Print Service Provides can benefit from increased ROI and considering the software workflow implementation to drive such devices will enable customers to fully reach the productivity and flexibility of the print workflow” says Julie Watson CEO, Ultimate TechnoGraphics. “Ultimate will demonstrate live with C.P. Bourg how you can maximize your print jobs using both dynamic software and hardware during the BPM Launch event this May in Ottignies Belgium.”

Imposition is all about finishing and Ultimate TechnoGraphics provides unique knowledge and software technology to fully enable the data workflow to drive the full capability of the modern and forward thinking finishing equipment of tomorrow. Automation drives results, and this collaboration enables to provide a powerful, fully automated, dynamic approach to the print and finishing flow for PDF jobs coming from eCommerce platforms, B2B online portals or jobs submissions through print management software.

“The Bourg Sheet Preparation Module (BPM) is a sheet converting system that allows print professionals to automatically divide large “parent” sized printed sheets into intermediate, form sized or final sized sheets in-line at process speed between their printer/press and finisher. This simple solution dramatically reduces page imaging costs by allowing users to print multiple pages of a document on large sheets and eliminating the inefficient and expensive manual labor used to hand process those large sheets into small usable sizes on a guillotine cutter prior to finishing,” says Ronald van Hees, global VP sales and Marketing at C.P. Bourg. “The BPM is modular and JDF compliant by design, allowing users to configure the product functions precisely as they require.”

From May 14th, 2018 to May 17th, 2018, at the C.P. Bourg facility in Ottignies, Belgium, attendees will be able to see this workflow running live during the BPM Launch event.
