Reston, Va. – Do you know how the new tax law can help—or hurt—your business? During the month of April, the Association for Print Technologies (APTechSM), in collaboration with WhatTheyThink, is presenting “Tax Reform for Print Businesses,” a four-part weekly series of free webinars that will provide print business owners and their executives with key questions to ask their CPAs and CFOs about the law and the opportunities it may provide.
“Recognizing the continuous and unique evolution of every print business, the ‘Tax Reform for Print Businesses’ webinar series will focus on the specific implications of the new law on establishments of various sizes and provide actionable takeaways for planning purposes today and going forward,” says Mark Nuzzaco, APTech Vice President, Government Affairs.
The third session, “The New Estate Tax Law, Intergenerational Transfer, or Sale of a Business,” will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. ET. What are the best steps to take to make your print business appealing to a potential buyer? How can you take advantage of provisions in the new law to minimize the tax burden on heirs or other successors? Even if you currently have no plans to sell or otherwise leave your business, now is the time to optimize it.

The new law affects equipment purchases, business valuations for sales and investors, estate planning, and facility location, such as “opportunity zones” in many cities and towns. The final session in this series, “New International Tax Law Changes,” will take place at 2:00 p.m. ET on April 24. Registration for one session in this series provides access to all four sessions.
