e.now e.commerce summit Shuffles Event Dates

Press release from the issuing company

According to an event spokesman, the e.now conference has changed the dates of the event's schedule. Siting instability in the economy, the print industry and a recent acquisition by one of the major sponsors, the January event has been postponed to October. The spokesman for the event said there is considerable interest in the event, but many vendors and attendees expressed concern over the January date as being too soon. The event was slated to be held in Los Angeles. The event has been moved to October 21 - 24, 2001. Also, according to the spokesman, the economy and conditions in the print industry also made it more attractive to hold the Los Angeles portion of the conference in October. Also sited was the recent acquisition of TrendWatch by Cahners. Cahners is a major sponsor of the event. The spokesman said the conference planners wanted more time to integrate TrendWatch into the program schedule. The event is sponsored by Cahners Printing, Packaging & Creative Group and the Rochester Institute of Technology Research Corporation. The event also has the support of the Printing Industries of America. The Orlando event scheduled for May 20th - 23rd has not changed.
