PRINT® Named to Trade Show News Network Top Trade Shows List

Press release from the issuing company

Reston, Va. – The Association for Print Technologies (APTechSM), formerly NPES, announced today that its annual event, PRINT®, has been listed in the 2017 top 100 U.S. Trade Shows by the Trade Show News Network (TSNN). In addition to verifying that PRINT was top-ranked by number of visitors, TSNN has also qualified the event to be chosen as one of the top 25 fastest-growing in attendance and net square footage.

PRINT is an annual conference and exhibition that hosts the largest gathering of printing services providers in North America, representing attendees from 86 countries. In 2017, more than 22,000 visitors came to Chicago, including nearly 16,000 buyers from 8,565 companies.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Trade Show News Network again this year,” said Thayer Long, APTech President. “As the not-for-profit printing industry event owned 100% by our members, we have formulated a winning strategy for PRINT that aligns the industry on a path for growth moving forward.”

“PRINT has always delivered the ideal audience to grow the industry,” added Kelly Kilga, CEM, Vice President, Meetings and Events. “Our printing service providers—80% in 2017—tell us that purposeful events are their most significant resource for education about emerging technology, business strategy guidance and connections to grow their businesses. And our members (product and service providers) tell us this is why they return to exhibit year after year.”

The innovative Learning Experience at PRINT sheds light on solutions that are tied directly to the technology on the show floor, for the distinct purpose of driving success for the entire industry. And the money-saving complimentary machinery handling program at PRINT encourages exhibitors to bring ample equipment to show their latest business solutions in action. This program delivered 1.2 million lbs. of machinery to PRINT 17 over the prior year—denoting that technology demonstrations are what buyers want to see and sellers need to do.

PRINT 18 will take place September 30 through October 2, 2018, at McCormick Place in Chicago. For more information about PRINT 18, contact Director, Event Marketing, Sherry MacDonald at 703/264-7237, or e-mail: [email protected]
