PPC Spring Conference Offers Exciting Speaker Lineup

Press release from the issuing company

Springfield, Mass. – The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) has announced the speaker lineup for its 2018 Spring Outlook and Strategies Conference, April 11-13 in Baltimore. Addressing topics that help paperboard packaging manufacturers succeed in both the packaging market and business in general, the speakers include:

Alan Beaulieu, economist and president of ITR Economics, will review how market and economic policy changes will likely affect folding carton manufacturers through 2019. He will also discuss tactical and strategic changes that should help converters improve profitability.

Mike Ferrari, president of Ferrari Innovation Solutions and former Procter & Gamble executive, will share secrets for creating value-added, innovative packaging in the current marketplace where RFPs, reduced volumes, and shrinking margins signal a commodity business and a race to the bottom.

David Friedman, CEO of High Performing Culture, LLC, will offer conference attendees a simple and practical approach for building a high-performing organizational culture—an attribute that David believes is the best differentiator in today’s commoditized marketplace.

Mary Anne Hansan, president of the Paper and Packaging Board, will discuss the direction and progress of the national Paper and Packaging – How Life Unfolds® consumer campaign. She’ll review the campaign's recent shift in storytelling approach, aspirations for the new campaign, and the latest campaign metrics.

Sam Richter, expert on sales intelligence and online reputation management, will teach attendees web search secrets for finding leads, uncovering opportunities, and understanding decision makers. This crucial information will help in generating warm referrals, tailoring offerings, building deeper relationships, and winning more business.

Bruce Siegel MD, president and CEO of America's Essential Hospitals, will address the future of hospitals in an era where health care is in a state of tumult and new technologies and "big data" could completely disrupt traditional medicine.

“The engaging and inspiring speakers that grace the PPC stage are always a big draw,” said Ben Markens, PPC president. “PPC members come to our meetings to learn how to better their businesses, and we carefully pick speakers who can help them do that.”

Taking place over three days at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, the conference will also include committee and special-interest meetings, networking sessions, a celebration of the safest converting facilities from PPC’s Safety Boxscore data report, and a cruise of Baltimore’s popular inner harbor.
